Welcome To CornwallGiveaway

Don’t throw it away – Give it away!

You may not want that old sofa or tea set any more – but there might be someone just round the corner who does.

Lurking in sheds, attics and cupboards all over Cornwall are items that are too good to throw away, but are not loved or needed any more, things we don’t WANT to throw away but don’t have the space to keep or maintain. Things someone else could get much more enjoyment out of.

Our Goal is to join people who have things they want to get rid of with people who can use them and to keep usable items out of landfills.

Cornwallgiveaway is a free network of local towns/groups where you can give stuff away when you want to get rid of it – but don’t want to throw it away because it still has some useful life left in it.

Or if there’s something you’d like, perhaps someone has just what you need that they don’t want any more.

Unwanted items are getting reused in their communities via cornwallgiveaway.

Everyone and any organisation are welcome to join.
It’s free to sign up, then post a message with an OFFER of something you want to get rid of, or a WANTED message for something you need.

when you write a pm.

You send your private message and it then goes in your outbox until the person you sent it to logs on or they move about the forum or even refresh their page and then actually open the pm and read the message it will not move out of your outbox until then.

So if the member you sent it to does not log in for a few days the pm will stay in your outbox until they read your pm.

Some members may be logged in but they may not actually be at their computer, so they may appear online but they could be anywhere in the house or even out, so just because they show as logged in does not mean they will get the pm instantly.

Some users may also have a pop-up blocker and will not know they have had a pm until they actually check their messages.

You may also, if set in your profile, receive notification of a pm via e-mail but it isn't there when you check your inbox. This is clearly because the person who sent it may have changed their mind and deleted it from their outbox before you received it.

One more thing if a PM is in your outbox, you can still edit that PM before the user receives it.
